Modelling a Paintball Player part5 - Adding Detail

With the models complete I can start adding some detail to specific areas such as the mask and paintball gun. The gun currently has a very simplistic shape, but to enhance the detail, I added extra rows of polygons and continued to edit the shape until the desired effect was made. The turbosmooth modifier allowed me to keep checking my progress as this will be a final addition to the model.




The mask on the paintball player was fairly straightforward, especially using the same technique of adding extra rows of polygons around the creases and areas of detail to get the desired look.



Here I added a lip to the top of the mask which covers the forehead (this is basically used a sun guard). I also made the section covering the mouth look like a seperate area by making a crease spanning around the edge which I think looks quite effective.
